ABOUT ME
Hi folks, welcome
Hello everyone, my name is Gerardo R. Casas. I was born in Queens, New York. I attended LaGuardia Community College, where I graduated with honors and obtained an Associate Degree in Fine Arts. I then transferred to the School of Visual Arts where I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Cartooning/Illustration. I was the curator of five successful comic exhibitions: “New Voices of Comic Art”, “Critical Glitch”, “Heroes & Villains”, “Nightmares” and “Farewell” at a Brooklyn based gallery called Ouchi Gallery and I was also a co-curator of the “Summer Art Show” at Stathkion Cultural Center in Queens. I had showcased my works previously at Sala dei Templari, Ouchi Gallery, Stathkion Cultural Center, New York Comic Book Marketplace, Mike Carbo’s Big Apple Con, The Living Gallery and MoCCA Arts Festival. When I am not busy as a curator, I work on my self-published comic book titled “The Gang”, which narrates the daily insane tribulations of Rick, Yuriko, Carlos, and Megan.
